Vasyl Volodymyrovych Skalskyi (born on September 3, 1948, Nizhyn city, now Chernihiv region) is a Ukrainian activist, the head of the Horodotsky district state administration of Khmelnytskyi region. People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 1st convocation (in 1990-1992). Honorary Doctor of Khmelnytskyi National University.
Biography
He was born in the family of a military serviceman.
In 1966-1971, he was a student of the Kamianets-Podilskyi Agricultural Institute of Khmelnytskyii Region, a mechanical engineer.
In 1971, he was a senior engineer of complex technical maintenance of the machinery and tractor park of collective farms of the Kamianets-Podilskyi district association "Agricultural Technology" of the Khmelnytskyi region.
In 1972-1976, he was the head of the vehicle maintenance station of Kamianets-Podilskyi district association "Agricultural machinery" of Khmelnytskyi region.
Member of the CPSU until 1991.
In 1976-1978, he was an instructor of the organizational department, head of the industrial and transport department of the Kamianets-Podilsky District Committee of the Communist Party of Khmelnytskyi Region.
In 1978-1979, he was an instructor of the industrial and transport department of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
In 1979-1981, he was a student of the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
In 1981-1988, he was an instructor, deputy head of the industrial and transport department of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
In 1988-1991, he was the 1st secretary of the Horodotsky District Committee of the Communist Party of Khmelnytskyi Region.
In 1990-1992, he was the chairman of the Horodotsk District Council of People's Deputies, the chairman of the executive committee of the Horodotsk District Council of People's Deputies of the Khmelnytskyi region.
On March 4, 1990, he was elected a People's Deputy of Ukraine, 1st round, 52.46% of votes, 3 applicants. He was a member of the "Agrarniki" and "For Soviet Sovereign Ukraine" groups. Member of the Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on mandate and parliamentary ethics. He drew up credentials on June 18, 1992 in connection with the appointment as a representative of the President of Ukraine in the Horodotsk district of Khmelnytskyi region.
In 1992-1994, he was a representative of the President of Ukraine in the Horodotsk district of Khmelnytskyi region.
Since 1994, he has been the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Department of Statistics.
Then he retired.
