He was born on April 22, 1948 in the village Khoteshiv of the Kamin-Kashirsky district of the Volyn region. Father - Fedir Mykytovych, died in 1972, and mother - Yevdokia Ivanivna, worked as a collective farm worker before retirement. Volodymyr Fedorovych grew up in a large and friendly family, he had five sisters. In 1972, he graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University. In 2004, he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic "Trade Unions in Civil Society: Peculiarities of the Paradigm of Relations", and since 2005 he has been a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy. Since 2006, he has been the head of the political science department of the philosophy faculty of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. Chairman of the conference of the labor collective and trade union organization of the university, a member of the presidium of the Central Committee of the Trade Union of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Kyiv City Council of Trade Unions, a member of specialized academic councils for the defense of doctoral and candidate theses, a member of the editorial boards of a number of specialized publications.
Elected to the Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, vice-president of the Eurasian Association of University Trade Union Organizations. Head of the Scientific and Methodological Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on Political Science. The author of more than 120 scientific and educational and methodological works, among them such important works as: "Fundamentals of political science" (1995); "Political science: history and methodology" (2000); "Man and the World" (2001, 2003, 2007); "Political horizons" (2001); "Interest/pressure groups: definition, classification, limits of functioning and distinction" (2002); "Trade unions in civil society: theory, methodology, practice" (2002); "Political science: educational and methodological complex" (2005); "Political science" (2007). In co-authorship, the textbook "Politics" (2010) was published under the general editorship of V. Tsvih, O. Batrymenko and the educational and methodological complex "Political Science" (Program, plans for seminar classes, tasks for independent work and a modular rating system for evaluating students' knowledge) (2010).V. Tsvih was awarded the sign "Education Champion of Ukraine" (2003), the "Badge of Honor" order, the medal "In memory of the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv", has the thanks of the Kyiv mayor and the highest trade union awards. In 2004, he was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Education Worker of Ukraine", in 2005, for his contribution to the development of higher education, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine awarded him the "Petro Mohyla" badge, in 2007, "The Badge of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine", "K.D. Ushinsky" ". On May 14, 2008, he was awarded the Order of Merit, III degree, and on June 25, 2010, he was awarded the Order of Merit, II degree. His wife, Nadiya Ivanivna Tsvih, is a doctor at the city's student polyclinic. Son Andriy works as a financial director, together with his wife Olena, they raise charming daughters - Darynka and Nastusya, who are a joy for the whole family. Volodymyr Fedorovych's life guidelines are the words of Confucius: "Do not do to people what you do not wish for yourself, and then there will be no enmity in the state and family" and I. Kant: "Do so that you always treat people - and in your person, and in the person of anyone else as well - as to the goal. And never treated them only as a means."
