Eduard (Edvard) Rafailovich Milyar (born February 7, 1939, Antoniny) is a Ukrainian painter, graphic designer, art critic, poet; member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1993; Honorary Doctorof Khmelnytskyi National University, Honorary Professor of the Khmelnytskyi Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy since 2002, Academician of the International Academy of Fundamental Foundations of Being.
Biography
He was born on February 7, 1939 in the village of Antoninakh (now an urban-type village of Khmelnytskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine). In 1963, he graduated from the Vyzhnytskyi School of Decorative and Applied Arts and from the same year worked as an artistic director of art workshops in the city of Starokostyantynov.
Since 1969, he worked as the chief artist of the Republican Museum in Dushanbe. During 1989–1995, he worked in Khmelnytskyi as an art critic of the regional organization of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. Since 1994, he headed the art studio. Gives lectures on art history and philosophy. Awarded the "Badge of Honor" order, a commemorative medal.
