A team of scientists of the Khmelnytskyi National University, consisting of teachers of the Department of Technology and Design of Sewing Products, the Department of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, together with local entrepreneurs, started work on a new project to develop adaptive clothing for the rehabilitation of military personnel with affected limbs. The head of the project – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Oksana Zakharkevych.
Thanks to cooperation with local entrepreneurs Dmytro and Tetyana Kovalchuk, the first experimental samples of adaptive clothing for the rehabilitation of soldiers with affected limbs were produced. Thanks to the through cuts with fasteners, such clothing provides easier dressing and provides convenient access to external fixation devices.
Завдячуючи співпраці із місцевими підприємцями Дмитром та Тетяною Ковальчуками були виготовлені перші експериментальні зразки адаптивного одягу для реабілітації військових з ураженими кінцівками. Завдяки наскрізним розрізам із застібками такий одяг забезпечує більш легке одягання та передбачає зручний доступ до апаратів зовнішньої фіксації.
До вирішення завдань зі створення адаптивного одягу залучені магістранти кафедри технології і конструювання швейних виробів, які під керівництвом завідувачки кафедри, професора Світлани Кулешової і доцента Олени Лущевської виконують дослідження зі створення жіночих адаптивних виробів-трансформерів.
As a result of the implementation of the first stages of the scientific project on the development of adaptive clothing for soldiers with affected limbs, the Khmelnytskyi National University team gained new knowledge and formed interesting ideas that will be implemented during the implementation of this scientific development.
The project received a significant response and a wave of information releases swept through. Journalists visited the developers of the project to familiarize Ukrainians with the developments, which are designed to facilitate the rehabilitation of military personnel after injuries and wounds.
